Sergei Simkin

Sergei Simkin was born in Ukraine in 1980 in the theater music family. He received his first violin lessons at the age of 6 from the concert master of the Chernihiv Philharmonic.
After graduating from a music school in 1999, he studied at the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy in Kiev. He continued his artistic and educational studies in Nuremberg with Prof. Hans-Peter Hofmann (violin) and Prof. Anne Röhring (baroque violin).
He gave violin lessons at the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium in Fürth and the Wolfgang-Borchert-Gymnasium in Langenzenn.
Since 2009 he has been active in the Suzuki Music Circle in Ingolstadt, among others. Among his students you will find prizewinners at "Jugend Musiziert". 
During his studies, he acquired the additional qualification of a Suzuki teacher in Germany and other European countries. He is a regular lecturer at workshops and was a speaker at the International Suzuki Teachers' Conference.
Sergej Simkin is a member of professional orchestra constellations such as "Ventuno" and  "Armonia dell'Arcardia". Since 2011 he has been involved in the cooperation project of the Nuremberg Music Academy and the youth welfare office "Growing with Music".
