Janan Hrabanová

Jana Hrabanová is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. During her studies, she became a founding member of the Škampa Quartet, with which she performed for nearly two decades. The Quartet received numerous prestigious awards and appeared in concert throughout Europe, Japan, North and South America, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.

She later turned her focus toward pedagogy. In 2012, she attended a performance by Swiss Suzuki students led by Agathe Jerie, an experience that proved decisive for her future direction. Inspired by their playing, she began her Suzuki teacher training under Jerie’s guidance. She subsequently co-founded the Czech Suzuki Association and has been instrumental in promoting the Suzuki method throughout the Czech Republic.

Between 2013 and 2017, she completed all five levels of the Suzuki Violin Method teacher training, and last year she was appointed a Suzuki Teacher Trainer. She has taught at workshops in Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Poland.
